C19 (Nineteenth Century Database) User Orientation

WHAT: Database vendor Rep, will demonstrate how to get the most out our fabulous new online acquisition C19: Nineteenth Century Index

WHEN: Friday March 14, 1 p.m.

ABOUT C 19
C19 Index draws on the strength of established indexes such as the Nineteenth Century Short Title Catalogue, The Wellesley Index, Poole's Index and Periodicals Index Online to create integrated bibliographic coverage of over 1.4 million books and official publications, 64,891 archival collections and 15.6 million articles published in over 2,500 journals, magazines and newspapers. C19 Index now provides integrated access to 10 bibliographic indexes, including over 300,000 records from the ongoing digitization of British Periodicals Collection.

At the request of the Graduate Student Community in the English Department, USC Libraries are working on putting together a workshop "Film Clips for Presentations." It will be offered early in March.

RefWorks Workshop

RefWorks is online software that facilitates the management of bibliographic records. USC community can use this web based system for free. Please see https://www.refworks.com/Refworks/login.asp

On Friday, March 14, 2008, USC Libraries will offer a workshop for interested users of the RefWorks software. The workshop is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. in LRB (Mac Computer classroom, Leavey Library, Lower Level).
